I use a three-monitor setup and I just think it’s the greatest thing ever. Two was life changing, three’s just that much better. I daydream about how many I can fit on my desk. Is there a point of diminishing return?
Anyway, I’m come across something that makes life even better. I’ve used for quite a while 'Snagit’ from www.techsmith.com. Snagit is a program that takes screen shots and lets you do all sorts of things with them. Being able to easily take a screen shot of just the one window that I’m developing and not the whole desktop alone is worth the price.
I just recently noticed that there is a ‘sticky notes’ output that allows you to take the screen shot that you just took and send it to your desktop as a… ‘sticky note’. So, I capture a data condition or a variable condition or whatever and plop it on screen #3 for reference.
Way, way cool. The screen shot below shows two sticky notes sharing a screen with Visual Studio. You can make them ‘always on top, or not, add notes to them… I’m getting giddy.

As always, I welcome your comments!
