Tips, Tricks and How To's from the Devshed
By Steve Gray on 9/3/2009 11:32 AM

I’ve had the error “Failed to save document” in Crystal reports off and on for years and I’m sure that it has many causes… but I’ve finally tracked down one of them.

I have a report that is built on a stored procedure, and the stored proc had the same field in it twice. I deleted both references and then did a DATABASE > VERIFY DATABASE and I was able to save. After that I put the field back in the report (only once…) and everybody’s happy.

As always, I welcome your comments!
